VidRank ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is developed and operated by Vyke Digital Ventures. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using VidRank, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

VidRank supports two ways to use the app:

• Anonymous Sign-In: When you use the app without a Google account, Firebase assigns your device a unique anonymous identifier. No personal information is collected through this method, but your usage data may still be linked to this identifier for the duration of your session or until you clear app data.
• Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account, as provided through Firebase Authentication. This lets you save your data across devices.

1.2 YouTube Channel Data

If you connect a YouTube channel to VidRank, the app uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve information such as your channel details, video titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and public performance metrics (views, likes, comments, subscriber counts). This data is used solely to generate SEO insights, rankings, and recommendations within the app.

VidRank does not post, delete, or modify any content on your YouTube channel without your explicit action within the app.

1.3 Usage and Device Data

We may automatically collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns (e.g. features used, session length) to help us maintain and improve the app.

1.4 Advertising Data

VidRank may display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and other identifiers to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. You can manage ad personalization through your device's ad settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the app's features
• To generate SEO analysis, keyword suggestions, and ranking insights for your YouTube content
• To sync your data across devices when signed in with Google
• To display advertisements and measure their performance
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
• To communicate with you regarding support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) and, where applicable, Appwrite. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

VidRank relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• YouTube Data API (Google)
• Google AdMob
• Google Sign-In

VidRank's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with third-party service providers listed above as necessary to operate the app, or when required by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• You can sign out of your Google account within the app at any time.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
• You can revoke VidRank's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
• You can disable ad personalization through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

VidRank is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States, through our use of Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
